I was wondering if starting my ACT preparation now will be enough time to change my score by the September 13th ACT date. I have the Barron's ACT prep book and the ACT red book. Is there enough time? Also, how should I schedule my studying? Thanks!

So you have basically 1 month to study. I would stick mostly to the Red Book and try to work through one practice exam each week. Work un-timed for the first two weeks and timed for the second. In general I would work one section at a time. But you might do a full test about a week before the real exam date.

Do more if you have the energy, or less if you find yourself getting burned out. It is most important that your practice is focused and fun. If you are bored and fatigued you won’t learn well. So self-monitor and avoid burnout.

Quality is more important than quantity. Even just doing a single practice exam and carefully going over the answers should improve your score meaningfully.

The Red Book is the best place to start because it contains real previous exams. I would only use Barons if you find yourself with a lot of extra energy.

Thank you so much! Your answer really helped :). Hopefully I can raise my score!
