I took ACT last June without much preparation and got 29. Taking again in Sept. Considering taking 1-on-1 tutoring either with Princeton ( 10 hrs for $1500) or Kaplan 12 hrs for $200 bonus 20 hr group lessons. However, still confused which one to take or take a private tutor from Professor BAM - Brentwood, NY Tutor (11953)
Any feedback is appreciated. My goal is to increase the score to 34 and above.

I MEANT $2000. aNY FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED.

Professor BAM is horrible, I wouldn’t recommend.

Thanks for your feedback.

Hi All,
Please let me know your recommendation as I am losing time, and want to start asap.

Or you could spend 50 dollars on some books and actually be motivated to study like any half intelligent person

Soontobegrad is totally correct!
There’s a user called Jacob109 who basically said that admissions tutors get paid 40+$ an hour just to sit back and watch the student do loads of practice tests. He is one, and says that all you need to do is practice. Figure out what your week point is after completing a practice test and work hard on it.

Invest in a couple of good prep books, which you can always sell straight after!

With this $2000, you’re paying for lots of extraneous stuff.

It’s unconscionable that anyone would pay this much for that little.

Curtisdean is 100% correct about the “tutor” and his “job.”

Don’t fall for these rackets.

Yeah I got my score from a 29 to a 33 with the red book and with 1296 and a free PDF I am trying for 35

Hi Curtisdean:

I received something called a “visitor message” from you. I meant to come back to it, but now it’s lost (at least I can’t find it).

Would you mind resending your question to me in the form of a PRIVATE message? I know how to access those!

Thanks again for your feedback. I am struggling in science and math. My mom’s friend told that a private tutor from the Applerouth helped her daughter to learn techniques that helped to increase her score to 34. You are absolutely right its lots of money. Do you suggest any practice tests for science?
Thanks again!
