ACT question about sending scores

I've taken the ACT almost more times than I can count now, and I gave it one final shot in October. I'm applying ED nov. 1 to Vanderbilt. If I'm happy with my score of a 32 from a different test date and already sent that score, but would like to send my October scores if they're going to be higher, should I go ahead and send them now? Or wait until I see them? any help is appreciated! thanks!

You should send a score now, meaning today. What is important is that you get a score there in time to be considered for ED. Though it accepts Oct test score for ACT, you should have designated Vanderbilt as a college in your test application as one to receive it upon release, meaning as one of your free sends. That is the fastest form of delivery and assures that score gets to the college in time. Waiting to order a send until after the score comes out can mean a delay of a week or more before it is sent. Too many assume that since there is electronic delivery everything happens instantly but it can take a week or more to process the order to send scores if you wait to order after the score comes out because your order has to be processed by human beings before it is actually sent and there are only a limited number of those human beings to handle the thousands of send requests ACT gets daily this time of year.
