ACT question for W&M Rep

I recently received my ACT scores for the December 11 test. I read on W&M's website that you solely look at the composite score. My composite score isn't very high, but some of my individual sections are. for example, my reading is a 33. So in essence, William and Mary won't acknowledge my 33 reading score?

Thanks!

For both the SAT and ACT, our primary focus is on the composite score. We don’t weigh individual sections separately and/or give a student more credit for having high scores in one area (if we did that we’d congruently give them less credit for low scores in another area). So it’s not that we ignore your high sections because they’ve contributed to your overall composite score but our assessment if of your composite score, not the individual components.

Remember, we do consider only your highest composite so if you took the test multiple times or took the SAT as well, we’ll only evaluate whichever composite is the highest.

awesome!! thank you so much. i appreciate it

No problem. Happy to help
