ACT Question

When your ACT score is sent, do colleges receive your subscores or just your composite? This could be a problem for me because my math score (31) brought me down to a 34 and I want colleges to see my reading(36), science(35) and english(35) scores. Is there anyway I can send them my subscores? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that they are able to see all subscores, but you should not dispair because a 31 is 98 or 99 percentile, so it's definitely a good score.

I'm fairly certain that they get the subscores. I've heard here, though, that most places just look at the composite score. There are exceptions, though. People have just asked the schools in question and been told if subscores are analyzed or not.

However, I'm not sure for admissions purposes if there is much difference in your case. The difference on a percentile basis between 34 and 35 is minuscule. A 31 is 98th percentile and I think 32 and up is 99th. Too time-pressed to to look it up right now, though :)

They get your subscores, too.
