Hello,

I wanted to send my october act scores 33E, 30M, 26CR,35S 31 composite. Would it also make sense to send my september scores of 28E, 28M, 31CR, 30S 29 composite since there is a notable difference in the Reading section?

Hello,

I wanted to send my october act scores 33E, 30M, 26CR,35S 31 composite. Would it also make sense to send my september scores of 28E, 28M, 31CR, 30S 29 composite since there is a notable difference in the Reading section?

If the school doesn’t superscore, I don’t think it matters really what your sections are (at least for 99% of universities). If anything, your highest composite score will usually be considered along with your highest writing score (as in essay or combined English/writing). At the same time, if you’re applying to Brown (which focuses on highest sections) or a school that actually does superscore, you may want to send both.

The college in question is Villanova, which raises a bigger concern. I applied early using my SAT score (2050, 1360 M+CR). If I send them now, will they even consider my scores? They release decisions on 12/20. Thanks!

I know absolutely nothing about Villanova unfortunately, so I’d hope another member could answer this by the end of today. I think it may be best to send scores for the 31 for now and call the admissions office tomorrow to see if they’ll wait for your scores. As for the 29, I’d assume by [Colleges that superscore the ACT College Admissions Counseling](Colleges that superscore the ACT - BS/MD Admissions by College Admissions Partners) that Villanova would not, in fact, care for the extra report.
