Is it just me, or are the questions on the REAL ACTs harder than those in the practice test?

Another thing, how can i bring up my ACT scores in one week? Study rigorously? I've gone through the official guide and am working my way through Kaplans. Should i just do practice test after practice test? Is this practical?

Finally, my ACT score when "converted" to SAT standard is lower by 200 points. Shouldn't ACTs be easier?

no, it shouldn't be easier. the ACT and SAT are testing two different things even though they both say they're testing english/verbal and math/science. the way it was explained to me was that the ACT measures how much you learned in HS and the SAT tests your potential in college. its not that unusual to be better at one than the other.

My reasoning is going on the fact that the ACT, in essence, has three verbal sections (science isn't really based that much on knowledge, it's more CR.) I have never been a high scorer in math, so for me the ACT makes more sense. I have heard, however, that it is much harder to get a 36 on the ACT than a 1600 on the old SAT. Haven't heard much about the new SAT, but I'd imagine that with three sections, it would make getting a perfect score much harder.
