ACT range score for NYU

On the collegeboard website, it says the ACT scores for NYU were 29-32, which is in the 50th percentile..Does getting a 29 mean it's in the low range? Do I have a decent shot when it comes to test scores?
My Act score is a 29
E:28
M:29
R:28
S:30

I have good ECs and a decent GPA. I decided to apply for CAS. So is a 29 a good chance?

I think that act range of 29-32 also includes stern students who have really high standardized test scores. Having said that I think a 29 is still kinda on the low side for CAS but I don’t think it will hurt you that bad if your GPA is pretty good!!!

): oh man, good thing I registered for the Oct ACT
this is my last chance haha
i calculated my gpa and its around a 3.6-3.7 uneighted, weighted is a 96

IMO I think if you get somewhere around a 31 or 32 on the ACT and maintain or improve your GPA, you’re chances will be pretty high!! Also make sure that your extras are really focused on something rather than just a bunch of random crap from here and there. Good luck studying!!!

thank you!!
good luck to you too
anyone else? lol

My son got into TISCH with an ACT score of 26. So you never know.

Yeah it really does depend on the program you’re applying to. I know people who got into Tisch and Steinhardt with scores of 26, but I’ve also heard of even 32’s getting rejected from CAS. It just depends. I myself had a 30 ACT and applied to CAS, and got put into the LSP program, which you might be considered for as well. And if you’re planning on applying to grad school it’s not such a bad thing, the classes are easier!
