How can I do better on the Reading Section? I've taken many practice tests already but my scores always fluctuate from a 26 to a 31. Also, I always run out of time because I take up too much time trying the read the passages... What can I do to score consistently in the upper 30's (or atleast in the upper 20's)? Should I start reading more books?

Bump! 10 char

I recommend taking ap lang its so helpful. Before taking the class i got a 20 reading and now i have a 36 reading, its like magic right?

Also what you wanna do when reading is basically quick read but also take in the whole picture of what is going on, if you dont understand a part slow down and reread and remember to underline places where you think are important. When you jump to the questions you should have a good grasp of the passage so try to answer most of the questions that u remember off ur head and the ones ur unsure go back and reread 2 sentences or more before the give line to get a better idea of what the answer might be

Haha ap Lang what a joke JK

I would recommend going through all of my posts on here at collegeconfidential. My vocabulary and eclectic use of words is superb. If you can comprehend my Harvard-level writing, you can read anything. Good luck!

^hilarious. I really, really like you.

I’m pretty sure you spend countless hours on thesaurus.com looking up words.
Anyway, I don’t see how an apt vocabulary such as yours would aid me on the ACT. I mean this isn’t the SAT you know. I believe my mediocre mind shall suffice.
