ACT Reading one last time...

Okay, heres the strategy I think I'm going to try to master before saturday:

Do each question one by one and searching for key words in the question in the passage. I'll save the general questions for last and read 1st/last paragraphs and 1st sentences of each paragraph to answer those.

What I noticed was...on prose it seems like a better strategy to read/skim the passage and then do the questions since theres a lot less factual info as opposed to the humanities and other passages. It seems like one would need a good understanding of the prose passage to answer the questions since different literary techniques are used and you have to interpret what is being said in context.

Can anyone tell me if I should use my method for all the passages or approach 3 one way and read the prose? Has this worked for anyone? Thx

I am by no means a good reader, but I scored a 35 on a practice test by simply reading all of the passage and then answering the questions in chronological order.

For some reason, the ACT passages are a lot easier to grasp, and the answers are more obvious.

A lot of times, it's stated word for word in the passage, so you can go back every now and then to check...

How do you have time to read the whole passage? I never do!

exactly...u must be a speed reader because I'm damn slow and it doesnt work for me.
