I need help with ACT studying!! Math and writing i’m okay with, but theres something about the reading and science section that I simply CANNOT do… I took the ACT in June and got a 17 on the reading part. HOW DOES ONE GET A 17 ON THE READING PART?? I can’t even answer that. I feel useless and I feel as if I’m never going to get higher than a 25. I have 2 more chances to take the ACT and I need some tips. I bought some books and printed loads of practice tests but I keep getting below of what I want. Time is killing me, but whats new. I use the strategies that my tutor gave me but i’m getting up to 4 questions wrong on each section. I NEED SOME TIPS ON THE READING SECTION, ANYTHING WILL DO!! As for the science, its another reading section for me. I need timing strategies. HELP YA GIRL. A N Y T H I N G will do, and everything.
I totally feel you… I got a 22 on the reading section twice and it definitely brought my score down a little bit. I would say pacing yourself is definitely key. Try not to spend too much time on one reading passage or one science passage and if you run out of time or don’t know the answer, just guess… Good luck!
