So I took the ACT in april and I got a 32, but I did terrible in the reading section.
Math: 34
English:34
Science:33
READING: 25

I honestly can never read the passage quickly enough and when I try to not read the passage it also takes too long and I still don't finish. This is the only section I did terribly in so I feel that if I studied for it somehow until September I might be able to raise it enough for my composite to become a 33 and if I can get some of my other scores up maybe even a 34.

Has anyone had success getting there reading score up? Or People who already score high (30+) how do you approach the reading section? Any help is appreciated!

On a different note I am planning on applying to UCSD, UCLA, and UCB. Would it decrease my chances significantly if I was to not retake the ACT? My 32 was my first try. I have a high-ish gpa (4.5W 3.9UW) and my extracurricular's are average at best.

Thank you for any responses!
