No matter how hard I try I can't get at least a 24 on the act reading. It's so annoying I try so hard and I manage to only get scores between 18-21 ughh what do I do. Btw I have been using the cracking the act method and Kaplan

Do lots of practice questions and really understand what you did wrong. Maybe get the Princeton Review book with a lot of ACT questions. Read the answer explanations. Remember that all the answers are right there - if you cannot find specific text in the reading passage it is not the right answer. If time is an issue, learn how to quickly asses if a question is one you can answer easily or one that will take you more time.

K thanks I have been taking practice test from the Princeton 1269 book and that’s what I have been getting, any other tips

My son says he doesn’t do the passages in order. He likes social science and natural science passages so he’ll do those first and not spend whole lot of time on them. He also underlines as he reads and writes a few notes on the side. He raises his score from 22 to 30s now. But honestly, if the passages are easy to understand, he can score 35-36 sometimes. In the meantime, like others had said, LOTS OF PRACTICE :)

K thanks I do the same thing, I probably just needed more practice because I took another reading test and got a 24 and 25
