Ok, recently I have been studying for the ACT reading section. However, I have been noticing that how well I do on the passages soley depends on my interest and past knowledge on the topic the passage covers. Therefore, the ACT reading really is a hit or miss section. Is there a way to study so that my success is constant on this section?

Yep. Practice.

That's what I'm going to do. The reading section tends to be the hardest for me. Do every practice problem available. Do it over and over again, and make sure you understand why the answers are answers.

Good Luck! I know you'll get a great score with a LOT of practice!

^And while practicing, try to use different strategies that fit you. I got a 21 on reading by using the skim then answer technique, but I found out that I have a pretty good memory and can answer usually 5 questions (per passage) without refering back to the passage. So I read the whole thing and underline important sections. I got a 31 and a 29 by using this so far. My tutors have confused me wiith other strategies, but Im not going to listen to them anymore.
