ACT registration

When I registered for the ACT, it asked what 4 colleges to send my scores. I'm a junior and I haven't started applying for schools yet and I don't know what the purpose is of sending your scores to colleges. Could someone clarify?

I just skipped that section, and didn't list any names of schools. :)

yeah i just skipped too

um..oops..
i guess i wasnt supposed to fill it out?

bump 10char

It's for schools you're thinking of applying to in senior year, so they already have a copy of your test scores. If you don't fill it out now and wait until you're applying, there's a certain fee you have to pay to have it sent to the schools.

If you fill it out for a certain school and then don't end up applying there or anything, it won't make a difference. I'm a junior and I just put down four schools that I might think of applying to next year. :)

I did the same that AlliX did. I have a preliminary list of schools that I'm considering, so I chose the top four. Why pass up free score reports? I'll have to take the test again anyway though...
