Many across the country had trouble today getting their ACT scores. My DDs science score was missing. When it was finally posted, it was 13 points below her highest other section and way out of line with all the other sections. I am concerned there was some problem with the grading in this missing section that later showed up. Anybody else?
Yes! My daughter’s science and reading scores were initially missing. She’s not a high scorer but we were certainly expecting a higher composite score than she received, based on her practice tests. Three of the sections all had the exact same low score, which is odd. I have to wonder if there were scoring errors. I really doubt she bombed three sections and got the same low score on each section. I feel badly as I pushed her to study for this over the last six months and she hates taking standardized tests. And she’s a senior. From reading the ACT website it looks like we can request that the test be rescored but can’t get a photocopy of the test.
I had a student who had a “missing” science score. Two days later she received her entire report. Thankfully for her the scores were at or above what she hoped they would be. I am still scratching my head on how, when the answer sheet has all four tests on a single page, some scores can go “missing”. It’s just another layer in the ongoing hot mess that these tests have become!
The scores were never missing. A coding glitch caused some scores to not display on the score page. From what I’ve read, when the missing section scores finally displayed, the cumulative score and all the other scores that were already displayed were correct.
