Act retake or Sat?

I was just wondering if I should consider retaking the act or moving to the sat. I have taken the act twice with the following scores:
June 2014 Act (Freshman year)(No Study)
C:28
E:28
M:27
R:32
S:24
June 2015 (sophomore year)(2 -3 practice tests)
C:35
E:35
M:35
R:34
S:34

Obviously there was a large jump in scores, and I wasn’t suprised, but is it worth shooting for a perfect 36? From what I’ve read the SAT seems more catered to my ADD mind, and I’d like to see how I do on it. The third option would be not to take another standardized test at all? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Well I’m no expert but you could always take a timed practice SAT test and treat it like the real thing to see how you do. That might satisfy your curiosity. And If you get a score equivalent to a 36 ACT (which I THINK is like 2380-2400) then you could take the actual SAT and if you do the same/better you could submit that instead!

If not, you could retake the ACT for a 36 again, but from what I hear a 35 vs. 36 is not a huge deal! It’s a great score and I’m sure no school would turn you down because of it!

Spastically, there is not a meaningful difference between a 35 and a 36. Hopefully, you have taken the ACT with the optional writing sub score. If so, there are still some colleges that would require SAT Subject tests. D got a 35 without writing than a 36 with. The 35 actually would not have been accepted by about half the schools she applied to

As other posters have said, it’s worth trying at least a practice SAT and researching the differences between the tests to see if you feel you might perform better on the SAT. And no college will fault you for a 35 ACT; I definitely wouldn’t retake that, and even trying the SAT isn’t necessary, but I personally feel that everyone would benefit from trying both exams just to see which one they feel more comfortable with/exceed more on.
