I'm applying to the University of Michigan this fall and my ACT score is a 26. Would it be in my interst to retake even though my app could be reviewed before the test scores even come out?

Retake anyway, it would never hurt.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. what do you think a good plan of attack would be to improve to a 30+?

I live in Ann Arbor, and from what i’ve heard is that you can get in with a 26, but you must have other stuff to back it up. Try getting a 29+.

Try getting the Real ACT book, I heard that was good. All you can do is practice. That is the best thing.

Yeah i did but just for the PTs. and i have tons of stuff to back it up (legacy, tons of ECs, etc.) but my GPA was low as a freshman and part of sophomore year and my UM GPA is around 3.0. The university means more than anything to me so that’s why I think I’m going to go for this incase it comes down to an appeal.

Ok, just retake it and study practice tests, you should be able to improve.
