Hi everyone,
I am taking the ACT for the first time on Saturday (and am extremely concerned and stressed). To alleviate some stress, I was wondering how much it would impact my chances if I had to retake it. I don’t know if you can answer this without a ton of personal details. Any responses are appreciated!!
Who DOESN’T retake the ACT?
A lot of my friends took it for the first time in December and got 33-34s
Taking it twice will not affect your chances negatively. I took it three times back when I was in high school and submitted all 3 scores to Penn, and they didn’t seem to have a problem with it.

This is not something to worry about. If you do well, you’re “one and done” and that’s just great. If you want to take it again to try to raise the score, nobody will mind no matter if that next score is a little higher - or a little lower.
