<p>So the college board is thinking that on average people who take the SAT only are smarter than people who take the ACT only?</p>
<p>Could there be any sort of reporting bias? In other words if people tend to try the ACT if they aren’t happy with their SAT, and then only report it if it is better? This could give you lots of really good ACT scores (at least what the colleges see reported) and somehow map to higher percentiles for the ACT based on the subset who report both scores. This is making my brain hurt…</p>
