ACT/SAT question

I have already taken the SAT w/ writing and am quite happy with my score (2090). However, I just took a practice ACT test and scored a 34 composite w/o ever looking at the test before.

My question is, since I've already taken the SAT w/ writing, do I HAVE to take the writing portion of the ACT for consideration of the score? Can I take it without the essay and still have the score considered considering I already took the SAT? I wasn't considering taking the ACT because I was happy with my SAT, but if I can do that well on the ACT then I think it would be worth it. I really hate these standardized essays -_- ( and sitting there for an extra 30 minutes without food haha)

You need to send the ACT with Writing if you want your ACT score to be considered. Also, the phrase “SAT w/ writing” is somewhat misleading, as it is impossible to take the SAT without the Writing section.

Alright thanks. I guess the essay couldn’t be that terrible to write :p
