Soo I have in the 30s for ACTs and I want Penn to use those in making a decision. But I know I also have to send in my SAT I/SATII. I did badly on bio last time I took it in June, and I think I did pretty badly this time to. likee mid 500s. I know this will hurt me and everything, but do you think they can disregard them? My SATs are not the best either.

Why not just send your ACTs then? You are not required to send both.

I agree with Upenngirl39, just send both

I really want to but this is from the website:

Penn requires either the SAT Reasoning Test and two SAT Subject Tests OR the ACT with Writing. No preference is given to either test. However, Penn requires that applicants submit all testing results from each administration of the ACT, SAT, and SAT Subject Tests.

eeeek

Yeah, you have to send EVERYTHING, unfortunately.

hopeful stop saying that to every single person that asks. You’re not allowed to use score choice but doesn’t mean you have to send in your SATs. Just send the ACTs.

do whatever you want

I don’t think that’s the case. AT least I didn’t do that. It seems logical for me though as I come from the midwest, and most people here take ONLY the ACT so its impossible for AdComs to make conclusions from one’s testing history since it varies immensely from student to student based on region.

But yeah, you DEFINITELY cannot use score choice. I don’t think that means you must submit the SAT and the ACT if you took both though.

Oh well, we’ll see how that works out lol.

Okay thanks! Ya if I could just send my ACTS that would be fabulous. I guess I will ask around a bit.

although you MIGHT be able to get away with it…i seriously wouldn’t risk it. it’s like lying to the school. they only consider your 2 highest SAT IIs anyway…you’re allowed to have a bad day. They only ask that you send everything for statistical purposes.
