Act/sat Score Comparison

Hey I was having a debate with my guidance counselor today about SAT and ACT score comparisons

My SAT
Math 800
CR 750
W 690

or

My ACT
Math 36
Science 33
Reading 36
English 35
Essay 9
Composite 35

Which would you send?

Why not send both?

Here’s a comparision table if you’re interested.

I guess…Is ACT 35 = 2350 SAT tho?

I think there are probably some 2400 SAT and the ACT comparison estimates out there. You might want to google it and see what you come up with. Both sets of scores are very good (congratulations!) but your ACT seems slightly better. If you’re sending any SAT II scores the report will include all the SATs that you’ve taken.

I’d send the ACT.

Is there any reason to not send both? I think sending both shows that you have both great critical thinking skills (SAT) as well as proficiency in high school tasks (ACT). It couldn’t hurt anything, except maybe your wallet, to send both.

There is no reason not to send both (except for expense, which is not a big deal). Colleges consider applicants’ highest scores; it’s not clear that there is a big difference between these two sets of scores in most college admission offices.
