Hello everyone.. i received a 1650 on the SAT and am aiming for a 30+ on the ACT, my score on my SAT really discouraged me when i was taking the ACT and i am really worried about my scores that come out Monday.

Anyone in the similar boat that did bad on the SAT but good on the ACT?

EDIT: I took the SAT with NO prep, and the ACT with minor prep.

I got a 1670 or so on the SAT in one sitting and took the ACT and got a 27 one sitting and a 27 the next (28 superscored, though). Hoping for above a 28 this time ahh.

Remember that the "science reasoning" section really isn't about science at all. It's about reading comprehension and interpretation of data. Everything that you need to answer the question is right in front of you. Keep that in mind and you won't find the section to be such a challenge.

I got a 1680 on the SAT, but I got a 26 on the ACT. I retook the ACT and got a 29. Now, I'm hoping for a 30+. but who knows what's gonna happen after taking that #$%#$^ science.

I just thought it was an incredible amount of data to interpret in such a short time period. I also did 8 practice tests prior and none even came close in difficulty to the Dec. science section.

I did horrible on the Science Section. I just freaked out and started thinking about scores guessed on like TWENTY. BUt im actually okay with my score. With prep and an easier science section. 30+ seems pretty attainable.
