ACT SAT score correlation?

I am going to take the SAT soon, hoping to do better on it than my ACT, i got a 26, with a 34 in reading and a 21 in math. I have been practicing the SAT and am going to take a ful length practice test soon. I am hoping for a 1350 or up on just the math and CR sections. Is there typically any correlation between ACT and SAT scores, and if there is what would a 26 on the ACT be comparable to on the SAT?

There are several charts online if you google “ACT TO SAT”. Here is one:

[SAT-ACT Conversion chart](http://teachers.sduhsd.k12.ca.us/lccounseling/sat-act_conversion_chart.htm)

another one:

http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/act-sat-concordance-tables.pdf

A 26 is comparable to about 1190 CR/M.

This is the kind of question that Google is good for.

But here’s your answer anyway: [The ACT | ACT-SAT Concordance | ACT](The ACT Test for Students | ACT).

okay thanks, hopefully i can do better than that.

Any correlation between SAT and ACT should be taken with a grain of salt. The SAT gives you more time on the problems and does not have a science portion. The SAT also tests vocabulary more extensively than the ACT. The math tested is also marginally, but noticeably, different. The SAT math portion has a write-in section that is not multiple choice. Essentially, you’re comparing apples to oranges.
