ACT SAT score report

My ACT score is much, much better than my SAT score. Is it possible for me to only report ACT scores and not SAT scores? Will colleges ever see my bad SAT scores?

Yes. Send the better scores. Colleges take your highest scores and discount lower scores even if you do send them all your scores. However, they have no way of seeing tests you don’t send them, unless your high school puts test scores on your transcripts.

Depends on college and your high school. You send official scores through the College Board for SAT and ACT.org for the ACT. Majority of colleges allow you to send whichever scores you want to send. Minority require you to send “all scores.” However, what that means varies. Most of those require either all SAT scores or all ACT scores but not both. However, some, like Stanford and Penn, require you to send both if you took both.

A different issue is your high school. Regardless of what a college requires, there are many high schools that put all your scores on the official high school transcript that is sent to colleges. Thus, you need to check what yours does.
