ACT/SAT score

What is the best way to improve your score in both ACT/SAT? i know this is really vague but any ideas will help

thanks

please reply asap =)

for the SAT, there are several things that you should know for the math section. The use of 30,60,90 and 45, 45, 90 is really important.

for the SAT (ACT too? never taken it before but it should apply) reading, study your vocab and roots! On the long sections, i skimmed through the questions first, then went back and read the passage and made annotations as a read quickly. also make sure you read the little introduction that is before the long passages. you wanna get the feel of the passage and really understand it. almost become a part of it :stuck_out_tongue:

i also just saw a post by @bigbossman1‌ on the ACT. Seems like some useful information

"The ACT is not a normal high school test. The sills that get rewarded on the ACT are not the same skills that get rewarded in high school.

The BEST Thing about the ACT is the it is a MULTIPLE CHOICE test. The answer is there in front of you for every single question. ALWAYS read the QUESTION and the ANSWERS. There are hints staring you in the face. NOT reading the Questions AND the answers will make it harder on yourself.

EASY questions count just as much as hard questions.
The test is NOT IN ORDER from easy to hardest.

ORDER
1.Do the Data Analysis passages first, they have 5 questions each.
2. Research Summaries second, they have 6 questions.
3. Save conflicting view points for last, 7 questions.

5 minutes per passage.

Mark up all graphs and label the tables using the information in the paragraph.
Read the questions and go right the the graphs/charts.
The test tries to get you to make SIMPLE MISTAKES without noticing them.
The ACT is very detailed. RE check your answers on each section if you have time.

Put a box around the word NOT or EXCEPT. When you see this it is especially important to read all answer choices and cross out wrong answers.

Cross out wrong answers. This will save you time.
Each question has only ONE right answer.
Only practice with REAL ACT tests. Nothing else.Ever.
FILL in every Bubble. There is no penalty for guessing."

thanks! if you don’t mind me asking, how do you know which one’s are the Data Analysis, Researching summaries, and conflicting view points?

It’s through the amount of questions in each passage; the seven question passages are always conflicting view points, the data analysis are always five questions, and the researching summaries are always six questions.
