I took the August 2017 SAT and the September 2017 ACT a while ago and got the SAT score on Monday, and the ACT score on Tuesday.
SAT score: 1560 (760 R&W, 800 M) first sitting
ACT score: 36 math, rest were 34 (34.5 -> 35 composite) first sitting
I’m a junior and since it was my first sitting for both tests, I didn’t do the essay for both.
Because of this, I’ll have to take both of them again. I wasn’t expecting the scores to be this high.
Questions:
- Even if I score worse on next tests, am I allowed to combine the essay scores I get and the previous SAT&ACT scores?
- Do colleges look at ACT section scores, or only composite scores? (I know they are good scores, but I am somehow worried I scored 34 on reading, writing, and science)
Thank you.
