Hello,
I’m a summer journalism student at Northwestern University doing a trend story on how many times each student takes the ACT/SAT.
If anyone knows anybody who has taken either test an absurd number of times (5+ times, though the more the better) can you please DM me here so I can ask you a few questions via e-mail or phone?
Or if any parent, guidance counselor, tutor, student, teacher, etc. has an opinion on the issue, can you also DM me here so I can speak with you?
My story is due Friday.
Thanks!
I took the ACT once and got a 36. Will have to take the SAT to qualify for NMF. 5+ times is insane.
Kids at my son’s school typically take the tests about three times each. My daughter took the ACT 3X and the SAT 3X. I felt it was too much but her scores improved for the ACT each time without a tutor. her SAT scores actually declined a bit (WITH A TUTOR!)
You need to ask CC for permission to do stories like this. Just in case you aren’t aware.
Google there are many stories one where a kid took the ACT 8 TIMES 23 to 32 to get a full scholarship.
