I've already taken the ACT and SAT once. If I take both again one more time, will the total of 4 tests look bad?

It won’t hurt you unless you do substantially lower the second time around.

It won’t hurt you if you get lower either. They would figure you had a bad day or something. Usually they just look at the highest score(s). Total of four tests isn’t bad at all, they just don’t want to see like seven.

^^^???

10 char

It can’t look bad especially when there are two SAT and two ACT tests. I believe, at last, you are gonna send either of the SAT or ACT (the one that represents you better).

So, colleges would only see two testings… which is perfectly okay…

Unless, for some reason, you wanna send in both SAT and ACT… Good Luck.

I took the ACT once and the SAT four times and I’m applying…

Stanford requires you to report all standardized test scores although for ACT scores you have one sent and self report the others.

“Official scores from all test dates must be sent to Stanford directly from the ACT or the College Board (the reporting agency for the SAT) or both if the applicant has taken the ACT and the SAT. Score reports must arrive by the appropriate application deadline.”
