ACT Science Section?!

Okay, so my question here is this: how much do colleges take into account the science section of the ACT? I noticed it's usually not reported on neither College Board, nor on a school's class profile/ACT mid range report on the school's website. Is this an indication of it's importance?

My science section score is lower than my other sections. I don't intend by any means to do a science major or minor, or anything science related for that matter. So, with all that being said, and to put it bluntly: how much does the science section "matter"?

the science section matters for one quarter of your overall composite score. Luckily, many schools will super score the ACT which give you an opportunity to improve. Space I’ve never heard of a school discounting the composite score overall.

usually, colleges won’t be as concerned with the separate scores of the sections in the ACTs as much as SATs. i guess it’s just there so that they know you did consistent overall to get your composite score (not like 20 in one section and 30 in another).
