Act science

Hey Y'all. I am an international student from China, and I took the ACT this June:

Composite:31
English:33
Math: 34(shame >_>)
Reading: 31
Science: 27

i was pretty shocked at my science score since my practice science scores based on the ACT red book were consistently in the 33-36 range. I could always finish the red book science tests within 35 munites but i dint even have enough time to read all of the problems on the real test. And i found the real science questions much harder than the red book ones. Is it just me or do u guys feel the same way?

Retaking it in September... Do u guys know which prep book has the most challenging science problems?

In my experience, no prep book had any good science problems to solve. I just reused the science tests in the red book.

For my experience it was the opposite. MY science score fluctuated between 29-36 on the practice tests (scored 36 once) and on the real thing I got a 36. I think a lot of its luck. Many people on CC thought that the science questions on the act I took were “harder than usual” but I guess it was the perfect subject information for me. Just keep practicing and next time you’ll have a better batch of questions.
