Has anyone head from Tulane that got an ACT score under 30?
i got a 29 and was accepted, but im a louisiana resident so the standards are lower. i think if u live in louisiana and have a 28 on the act and maybe a 3.5 gpa you get automatic acceptance if u apply early
I know a student who was below 30 when she was a high school senior a year ago and was admitted Early Action (there was no Early Decision then). She really loved Tulane and wrote a unique “Why Tulane?” essay that may have helped her.
The Tulane ED deadline just passed, but I do think that ED is a smart choice for students who really want Tulane but feel that their credentials are borderline. Keep in mind that, although an Early Decision commitment is “binding,” an ED applicant to Tulane (or to anywhere else) who has also applied for financial aid can bail out of the binding commitment if the financial aid award is inadequate (however this must be done promptly … not in April after other aid awards have been received).
@pagirl1111 -If you applied Early Action and you want to switch your application to Early Decision, you MAY be able to make that change if you act immediately. Call the Tulane admission office to ask. You’ll have to send a written commitment agreement pronto.
