Hi I'm currently a sophmore in high school and my dream school for undergrad is Cornell engineering. If I manage to keep at least a 3.9, what sort of act score would boost me enough to get in? (I will apply early) I'm on my robotics team, im on quizbowl, I'm on the model u.n. club, I'm on the science bowl, I'm on the math team, and I'm first trumpet in my band. I'm also planning to do an internship at NIST (national institute of science and technology). Around what act score would be enough for Cornell engineering?

[Let me google that for you](<a href=“LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You”>LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You)

I know what Google is ok srsly. I just wanted to see what other ppl who got into Cornell did and got on their act.

As the google thing that dfree posted says:

Middle 50% = 29/33

tnx. Also does cornell prefer SAT over ACT scores, or does it see them equally? I know all colleges say that they treat them the same, but even my counselor said that he doesn’t believe it. Can anyone in Cornell or anyone who graduated from there help me out with scores?

Amolaks76 ~ Since your questions seem to be Cornell University specific, you may have better luck if you go to the Cornell University forum on this website. Here’s the link:

You can also browse through that specific forum and learn some very good information about this university, too. You may already find a thread there that addresses your specific questions/concerns as well. Good luck!
