Alright i have a 3.9 UW gpa and i got a 22 composite score.

Im not trying for an ivy, i live in cali and im just applying to some csu schools and UCs ..
Can i still get it with this? Or do i really need to get a 28+?

Im not a tryhard like most CC users, im a good kid with high grades and above average classes ( not 10 AP likr most claim )

You probably don’t need anymore than a 24 for state univ’s to be honest, but i would try to get a high score if i was you. Everyone certainly has a lot of potential if they put in the effort. there isn’t much to lose.

^are you sure that UC schools are okay w/ 24? Oh dear UCLA and Berkeley’s admission officers are crying from laughing right now

^OP didn’t say UCLA and Berkeley. He/She coould possible still get into Riverside, San Diego, etc.

Though, OP getting a 28 would help you a lot.

If you have a 3.9 UW GPA, then you should definitely be able to get atleast a 25, unless your high school is extremely easy. So you mine as well take it again if you know you can do better, which I would think you could. You don’t necessarily have to study, just go in and actually focus on the test for 3-4 hours.

Im not trying to go for berkley or LA, my parents told me my choices hav to be from So Cal. Meaning all of the LA area and down to SD. So tell me what good choices i got please. I plan to major in mechnical engineering.

Yea i most likely will get a higher score. I took the test head first without any studying or prep. Next to ill prepare more.

I was just saying that if i really do need it because i am a top student and i know ill get in somewhere, i just dont know why some ppl give up so much of there time to try and reach a college … idk maybe its just how i see it

What do you think? Is all the test prep and APs really worth it? Tell me

Thanks

^ You may be a top student (at your school), but maybe your school may also be uncompetitive. That’s why it’s important to standarize something (namely the admission tests).
