What information must be included on an ACT score report in order for it to be used by colleges? Obviously my scores are there, along with my name, high school code, ACT ID, and test date/location…however, I did not include my SSN, and where it says “HS name” I apparently “did not request score report to hs.” Will a lack of these two pieces of information be a hindrance to acceptance?
Help on this topic would be greatly appreciated, even if it just speculation and opinion! Thanks!

Neither is required except that high school is required if you were taking an ACT test required to be taken in your state to be used for compliance with No Child Left Behind laws, which tests are usually given on different dates from the national test dates. Otherwsie, failure to provide high school means your high school will not get your scores. The failure to provide SSN means that you might have an issue of a college’s matching scores to your admission file later when you apply to college, so you may have to check to make sure that scores are matched to your file after you order the scores sent.
Ok thank you
OP
The enhanced ACT Student Score Report is coming this fall. Abbreviated version is here: http://■■■■■■/1PufBnH
You do need to report your SS number.
Hold on @HereToHelpYou so the SS number is required on the Score Report? How do I get this changed?
Did you mean “do not”?
Sorry, see above
Sorry, I’m confused- is SSN required or not? Sorry to bother everyone, I have a limited amount of time to make this change if indeed I need to make it, as ACT is not a very easy organization to deal with

You are not required to provide SSN (think about it; if it were required, internationals could never take the test). The fact that the ACT report to colleges has an entry to provide SSN does not mean you are required to provide it. Without SSN, the report simply provides an ACT ID number.
The colleges you are applying to will want the SS Number on your score report, most use this to match the scores to the applicant.
Well no one seems to know for sure if it is required to have this on the SAT/ACT. I suppose I’ll write to ACT and have it changed to be safe. Thanks guys
I have contacted ACT and they say that my SSNcannot be added to the score report. I assume my score report will be able to go through if I call each college and assure that my score report is associated with my app?
