Hey guys,

So I've never taken the ACTs before but I have a good idea of them and want to give it a shot now that I'm done with SATs. I'm just wondering though, if I were to take ACTs on February 7, when would they reach the colleges?

Also, for those of you have taken SAT and ACT, how have your scores compared? Have you done better on ACTs than SATs.

Another thing is the science portion of the ACT. I know I'll be pretty okay on everything for ACT because I have studied so much for the SAT and vocabulary is my only weak point and apparently ACT has less vocab, but I'm a little iffy about the Science. If I am currently studying for the Biology and Physics SAT IIs, you think that would help me prep for the ACTs?

Thanks everyone. I love this site :)

I think February is a little late, but contact the colleges you are applying and see if they accept February scores.

Colleges have no discrepancies between SAT and ACT. Each has its benefits. I scored the same on both.

The Science section requires no outside knowledge. Everything is stated in the passage/graphs. So studying Biology and Physics won't help that much.

if i take the act and have already taken the sat can i just send my act score(s) and not sat?

anhtimmy....the science thing...wow really thats awesome!!!
and north_face...im almost positive that you can do that...but most probably it depends on the college

it looks like its best to contact the college no matter what the question

ahhh my college says Score Reports due Feb.1 I'm praying they'll take the Feb. SAT report =

The big problem with the ACT science is that they do not give you enough time to finish. Also, the curve is very harsh. On some tests 3 wrong is a 31.
