I will jumps straight to the point.
I have gotten a 26 composite score on the April ACT test. I panicked on the reading and somewhat dragged on to the science (my two lowest scores). Subscores: M 29, E 26, R 22, S 25.

I REALLY want a 30+ and I have bought two ACT prep books: The Real ACT prep guide and the Barron's 36.

I want to know if such an improvement is possible and will I need more prep or books to do this.

If you want, please tell me your honest improvements, it can only help.

Thanks a lot for reading this!

Someone please reply!

Taking all of the english and math tests from the red ACT book and going over the answers improved both of my sections from 27 to 33 and 29 to 32 respectively. So I’d say that the more practice tests you take and review their mistakes, the more your score will improve.

It is possible with some dedication, put aside an hour each day if not more and go through each section and memorize the directions. For english learn the rules i found Barron 2010 useful. For math learn the formulas and you can actually program ur ti calculator to solve forumlas which will help. For reading keep reading alot of higher level books and try to read fast and retain what the story is about and small details. Do practice test and in mean tons of them and time ur self. Sit down and do whole tests and soon u will be good. ENglish and reading is easy to improve on. Browse through the forums and u can find other advice.

hope this helps!
