ACT Score vs Class Grade

<p>I earned a C+ in AP English Language this year and on my ACT I earned a 32 on my reading, a 27 on my English, and had an 8 on my essay. I haven't got my AP score but how do you think colleges would judge my English ability by these scores/grades?</p>

<p>For many schools, you’ll be fine, but top schools will not be impressed. Most state flagships would be happy to have you, most Ivies, not.</p>

<p>Ditto to MrMom. Remember, colleges want to know that you can succeed in college classes, not just that you are smart. </p>

<p>C in AP English is going to hurt because it’s a college course that most, if not all students must take.</p>
