Hi, I am an international student. How can I boost my ACT score from 23 to around 29-32 in 30 days? I can study around 9 to 13 hours per day. Please give me advice as detail as possible. Thanks a lot.
A little late, but I don’t have too much experience with cramming this hard. I would identify any strengths/weaknesses, then familiarize yourself with material (read test prep/content books), and finally test and go over your mistakes. The last part will take the most time. Just test and scrutinize your mistakes, noting the kinds of questions you have missed and why you missed, along with how you will prevent yourself from missing them. I’m sure you would have to modify this generally, due to your shortened time frame, but this is an effective strategy for the ACT.
Search “25 to 32: Fast ACT Prep Study Plan in 10 Days” and go to the first PrepScholar link.
I used that when I took it (I took mine Sept. 8th I believe?? Or 10th?). It seemed to help a lot. I had a 25 and I really wanted to get mine to a 28-30 ish. Try it out. I think it’s a really good system if you’re cramming. I only had 20 days, while you have 30, so you have a little bit of an advantage.
You should also read PrepScholar’s page that was written by a perfect scorer. I found a lot of helpful info in it.
Dude that’s totally doable. Just practice as many c r a c k a c t . c o m tests as you can and you will rock the test. I wish I had that much time to prep. Also buy a review book like Barrons to get content down. I think with that much dedication, you can get a 34!
Not to be a downer, but there is a big difference between a 23 and a 32. Generally speaking, the work habits that go into a 23 won’t result in 13 hours a day of studying over 30 consecutive days. Also, school occupies about 8 hours a day which, assuming you are in school, means you are sleeping a maximum of 3 hours a day for a month. None of this sounds like a win, review books notwithstanding.
On the other hand, setting aside a couple of hours per night, after your homework is done (and with adequate sleep), to review practice tests and learn about the questions you miss could help a lot. Most people don’t improve their scores much beyond 3 points from what I hear, but maybe you will be an exception if you work hard.
Thanks a lot. I find all your advice really motivate me.
People are just giving you the truth and realistic expectations.
i managed to get 33 with only half a month of studying (i expected a 29 when i compared my sat score and my practice tests). It’s possible but it’s hard. Set a schedule and stick with it.
Well done!
