ACT scores and merit aid?

Are the scores listed as thresholds composites or math/eng. only? I notice the SAT score ranges are clearly labeled as CR/CM but the ACT wording is unclear. Do they superscore?

ACT is composite - UA does not superscore. Keep in mind, too, that the scholarship criteria listed is for 2013-14 incoming freshmen. It ‘may’ change for 2014-15 (though many here are praying it doesn’t.)

The SAT is handled differently because the Writing section isn’t use.

The ACT composite (it it’s entirety) is used. no superscoring.

ACT gets no respect.

comparing apples and oranges

Just make sure to take BOTH tests, some students score better on the ACT than the SAT.

*ACT gets no respect.

It does at Bama. And for some students score better on the ACT.

Once you take the ACT with writing and submit it to UA, you can subsequent ACT’s without writing for scholarship purposes.
