Hi, I am EDing to NYU Steinhardt and I am so confused about my ACT scores, because i took it in September and got a 25 ( which NYU is not going to want) and I am taking it again this Saturday, but I dont know whether I should send in September score or not to show that I have improved ( hopefully Oct will be considerably higher), Any suggestions?

Also is it bad that I am EDing granted that I did not take any APs my Junior Year due to scheduling issues, but I am taking AP GOV and AP Lit this year.

Please Help, I'm going crazy!

Thanks

I think to be able to get into NYU you would need a 28 minimum, and even then it is competitive. I would say you should still ED and see what happens after taking the ACT again? If not the ACT, try the SAT?

If your applying to Steinhardt then you must be submitting a portfolio or creative piece. My son’s appling ed at Tisch’s Clive Davis program and they said the portfolio was 50% of the application weight. Make sure your portfolio is dead on. Also, remember NYU has changed its testing policy giving more options. My guess is the 28 won’t be a big problem if you wow them with your portfolio or audition.

there are majors in Steinhardt where no portfolio or creative piece is required. (nutrition, applied psych, media, etc.)

Yeah I am EDing to MCC and it doesn’t require a portfolio/audition. Hopefully I’ll do well tomorrow and then I can breathe a little. I want to get in so so so bad ( just like everyone else haha) thanks to whoever replied!
