ACT scores for MIT

Hey, I have a little dilemma. I’ve taken AP math courses including Calc BC and Stats, both of which I got 96s or 97s in. I have an 800 on Math II + a 770 on Bio M.

Here’s the problem: I have an ACT of 33C, 30M, 33W, 33R, 36S. How much is that going to hurt me?

33C is a tad low. 30M is pretty low, especially for MIT.

No matter what, it’s still a crapshoot for MIT. It’s ridiculously competitive. Even people with flat 36s get rejected.

If I self report these scores and submit high scores from an upcoming test date, will they see the self-reported ones or the sent scores?

@jk3lls Those are great scores. Your 30 math score is indeed a bit low, but that’s only one part of your test scores. Besides, I’m sure your interest in AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics and your 800 in Math Level 2 is more than enough for MIT to know that you’re amazing in math. Self-report what you have. Your self-reported scores are unofficial; they really judge based off the scores you send. To be honest, don’t worry about your test scores. A 30 in Math would definitely not be any ultimate deciding factor. Remember that test scores are only a part of your application, and you should focus on your extracurricular activities, interview, and essays for MIT to see the best of you.
