<p>ive really wanted to go to rice for a long time and ive looked up the avg test scores and stuff for admissions. they says its middle 50% is 29 - 34. so would a gpa of 3.7 or 3.8 and an act score of 31 or 32 be competitive for admission?</p>

<p>That would be about average, so yes, it would be competitive, given that you have good ecs,...etc</p>
<p>I had a 31 on the ACTs and I'm a proud student at Rice. Remember that there's more to getting into then test scores.</p>

<p>what difference does it make what unknown persons who may or may not go to Rice say? It won't affect the outcome....</p>
<p>@niloy.ghosh518: It's hard to tell... just apply and do your best on the essay and box. Rice wants to see humans not immortally built robots who just regurgatate(sp?) whatever they read or learned. Show your emotions and be true.</p>
