ACT scores on HS transcript

Does your high school post ACT scores on your transcript? My son’s school does! That really sucks because one of them is not very good. We felt misled when we were told not to send the bad ones to colleges. If they going to see it on the transcript, what’s the use of not sending it? Admission is going to see it anyway!!

They will always focus on the highest score. My high school does that too, and I have a 24 and a 26. UM-Twin Cities called me a few times and I asked them the same question and they told me that they would only look at the highest score.

The majority (if not all) of colleges only consider an applicants highest scores.

You won’t have to pay an extra $12 for each report.

Have you asked anyone at the school why they do this? Maybe you could prompt a change to something that has just been done a certain way for so long that no one questions it. I’d question it and see where it goes.

Our does not.

You should be able to ask the school to take it off the transcript. I don’t understand why a high school would be putting information on the transcript that could potentially hurt the student.
