ACT Scores to submit or not to submit... that is the question!

My daughter has taken the ACT twice. Both times scoring a 31. Her frustration is that the first 31 was E=31 M=28 R=35 and S=28. The second time she took it the 31 consisted of E=35 M=31 R=32 and S=26. Not a bad situation if her top school choices super-scored, as a 32 would be an improvement. Unfortunately, the top two are considered “highly selective” and do not.

So, the question is, does she submit both scores to these schools anyway (one says they will look at scores from multiple tests, but don’t super-score… whatever that implies) or just the second test score which is slightly higher? We are leaning toward sending both, but not sure how this would be perceived.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks

Big Papi

Did she take the SAT? If so, what was that score? If not…does she plan to take the SAT?

The school may not formally super score but people will see the better scores. I guess how important is that math score? If she is thinking of a STEM or even social science major, then send in both. If she’s thinking more humanities, send the second one.

I’d personally send both.

Agree, I would also send both.

She did take the SAT and did okay (2030), just not as good as the ACT. Given that all the schools she is interested in accept the ACT, she won’t likely be sending them the SAT score.

If they’ll accept both, send both, even if they don’t superscore.
