I took the ACT's on 12/9. I had been sick for a few days, felt like crap, and my head wasn't really in it the whole time. I got my early scores, and they were pretty low.

Is it possible to cancel them before any colleges see them?
Should I just keep them and hope they are disregarded?
Or will colleges see them and just not care, or think "well at least he tried it"?

I'm a senior , so my last chance to take ACT/SAT has passed for most of my schools. Heres the scores:

Well provided you sent your SATs I think the colleges will also notice the huge difference in score and may simply disregard the ACT score. I'm not quite sure but I think logically an Admissions Officer would simply look at your highest score and not really care about your lower ACT score provided it isn't disastrous (yours isn't). I wouldn't sweat too much.

Should I add a small note on the "additional information" section of my application saying I was sick on the test day, and to disregard them if I cannot cancel them in time?

Yeah, good call. I'll probably just leave the ACT section on my common app blank and cancel the scores if I can. If I can't cancel them, so be it, they see the scores. If I really worry about it later on I can just send a letter explaining that I was sick and ask them to disregard the scores. Colleges won't care that I didn't have the ACT section on my common app filled in, will they?

I would see if I could cancel my scores first, but a bunch of my deadlines are 1/1.

If you listed them on your ACT registration it is too late to cancel - you would have had to cancel sending them by the thursday after you took the test. I would not worry about it - your SAT scores are pretty good so I doubt the schools will care about the ACT.
