ACT scores

During the ACT test, I didn’t finish the science section.
I just checked my scores.
E: 35 M: 35 R:34 S: 29
Composite score: 33
So obviously that section pulled down my scores a lot. I wanted to know how colleges would see this.
Do I look especially bad because of the huge difference between my section scores?
Should I retake it? I’ve gotten 35 on practice tests. These passages were just especially hard.
I’m considering getting the score deleted or whatever its called. Thoughts?

Are you having trouble understanding the questions? Your english score was really high so it doesn’t seem like you have reading comprehension problems. Also remember that the science section is curved REALLY high(I got 2 wrong and ended up with a 33) so you may have done better than you thought as far as number of wrong answers. I would definitely take it again, just make sure you understand what each question is asking as it seems like that may be the issue.

My son got almost the exact same scores the first time, with a 30 on science. He also had difficulty finishing the science section. He took a number of practice tests and got more comfortable with the pacing of the test. He scored a 35 the second time. You should retake it.

Definitely retake after practice tests. Awesome E, M, and R scores, btw!

Don’t forget that some schools superscore so you don’t want to throw away good scores in E, M, R. Take it again after focusing on science especially.

I got a 34 on English and a 33 on Reading yet somehow got a 26 on Science. I feel your pain

I would definitely retake it after doing more practice tests, ensuring time isn’t a problem for you on test day.
