ACT scores

This morning's paper has an article about how Minnesota, my state, has the "best ACT scores" in the U.S. - among the 26 states in which a majority of high school students took the exam.

The interesting part is that our acclaimed high score is 22.6. The overall average was 21.1.

It kind of puts things into perspective. With the right-skewed test scores reported on CC, it's good to have a reminder that our kids are doing quite well, even if they don't have a 34+ ACT composite score!

Thanks for sharing. A good grounding in reality.

Thumbs up to that!

As I thought, Iowa and Wisconsin were .1 and .2 off the top this year, these states often trade first place honors. Good public education in the upper midwest.

Chi square that is a refreshing bit of news. Thanks
