We paid extra to receive the questions and answers for the April 2012 ACT, and we are confused. :) My daughter missed two in English and made a 34, and she missed one in Reading and made a 34. It seems as though she should have made a 35 in both areas. Does anyone know how these scores are calculated?

Looks like she got jipped. :

They have numerous different tests and for each the score can vary somewhat in relation the others as to what raw score equals a scale score, and yes there are some tests where one wrong can drop you to a 34 in a section.

Every test is scored differently based on how hard the ACT people think it will be before the test. The same thing happened to me in reading on that test.

Thanks for the help.
